Team Tangatanga’s bid to send Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i packing is a pure political game to gain mileage and relevance.
Dr Fred Matiang’i ouster bid has been among the key political talking points in The Deputy President William Ruto’s camp.
Team tangatanga has capitalized on the linked audio recording of the fake gold scandal to sponsor a bid to remove Dr Fred Matiang’i from office.
The name of Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is also mentioned, with the politician saying the gold had been seized by the CS in his official capacity.
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and his Belgut counterpart Nelson Koech are tasked with collection of signatures to send Dr Fred Matiang’i home.
The signatures to push for Dr Matiang’i’s removal, are purportedly on the ground for gross violation of the Constitution and gross misconduct.
But according to the former Gem Member of Parliament the whole ouster bid is a game of politics meant to credit DP Ruto’s camp.
“I think this is politicians trying to find relevance. This gold scam is a matter under investigation so how do we impeach somebody who has not even been questioned by DCI; I think that is a distraction,” Midiwo has stated.
This will also distract the course of justice as the same team tangatanga is calling for justice.
