Mt Kenya to follow Uhuru’s directions on whom to support in 2022

As 2022 draws near, the dilemma in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party grows each day. With the emergence of two outfits in the party, the Kieleweke outfit that supports the President and the tanga tanga that supports Deputy President Dr William Ruto, the party’s future is under a big threat.

With tanga tanga team arguing that the president has to honor his promise of supporting Dr Ruto’s presidency in 2022, their kieleweke counterparts argue that there is no any agreement between Mt Kenya people and DP Ruto.

They say the agreement was between the two leaders, and not voters.

However, the Kieleweke team led by nominated MP Maina Kamanda has said that Mt Kenya region would follow directions from Uhuru on whom to support in 2022 elections.

“Some leaders in the region are yet to get the information that partnership between Kenyatta and his deputy withered long time. They are reading from different scripts and in 2022 Kenyatta will guide the region politically,” said Kamanda.

MP Ngunjiri Wambugu (Nyeri Town) who also belong to the kieleweke team said those against the handshake between President Kenyatta and his opposition counterpart Raila Odinga were playing divisive politics and should not be entertained.

Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny said some leaders pretend to support the President not knowing that he had ordered they be investigated.

Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot asked Mt Kenya region leaders to rally behind Uhuru.

The leaders were speaking  at Kaharo ACK Church in Maragua on Sunday during a thanksgiving after former MP Elias Mbau was appointed to chair Nepad/APRM board.
