Uber is giving customers who use its premium Uber Black service the option to tell their drivers to be quiet with the push of a button.
The new “quiet mode” feature was announced alongside other new app settings available only to Uber Black users, including the option to set a preferred temperature and to request help with luggage or extra time getting to the car.
Introverted and general silence value clients will now in charge of their desire and enjoy more relaxed trip with the new invention.
The preference feature might be a hit considering the many times some users had to put up with noisy drivers when it was not necessary.
In the past, women have often complained of incessantly flirty talks from some drives. This might be a solution to opt out of the unwanted chit-chat.
On the driver’s response to the new development, the company’s product manager Aydin Ghajar told TechCrunch that a quiet journey is what most customers had wanted to see introduced, adding that driers were comfortable with it.
