The leader of Majority at the Senate has come into Deputy President William Ruto’s defence after a picture was unleashed bu ODM Leader Hon Junet Mohammed showing the DP while attending the wedding of Jared Otieno who is one of the main suspects in the ongoing fake Gold scam.
According to Murkomen while reacting to the picture wrote telling his opposition counterpart Junet Mohammed that, “Mbadi stop fake stories.Sheikh has said it’s either the gold or face the consequences.advice your boss to take the threats seriously.Those are not people to joke with unless you don’t read current http://affairs.Call for harambee but unfortunately gold&silver have we none!”

According to Junet Mohammed, the picture was meant to bring to every Kenyan who is doubting the Deputy President to believe that he could be one of those involved in the scandal.

This comes after the fake Gold scam was uncovered with over 15 suspects arrested last week in Kaputei Gardens in Kileleshwa with suspected fake gold stashed in 28 boxes following a tip-off from members of the public.
The arrest came days after DCI boss George Kinoti urged embassies and High Commissions to advise their nationals coming in for business.
“The gold scam has now reached alarming levels as unsuspecting foreign nationals are being swindled large amounts of money by fraudsters,” he said.
“DCI attention has been drawn to an upsurge in criminal cases involving the procurement and sale of gold the country. The Gold Scam has now reached alarming levels as unsuspecting foreign nationals are being swindled large amounts of money by the fraudsters,” DCI added.
