How Sofapaka Have Blown Away Chance of Winning a Big Sum to Bandari

The Kenya Premier League season 2018/19 is coming to an end soon! Many clubs have about three matches left to know their actual standings and measure their achievements.

A time like this, some clubs fight for survival from relegation, others fight for the title while others fight to finish in the second position to get the big sum.

Gor Mahia are only a win away from clinching the trophy for the third time in a row. Chances are few that another team can take it away from them.

Mt Kenya United have also secured a relegation slot while Zoo Kericho and Vihiga United are still struggling to come out of the automatic relegation zone.

Most notably, Bandari and Sofapaka are battling it out to finish in the second position with just a narrow streak separating them.

Currently, Bandari are in the second position with 61 points after playing 31 matches while Sofapaka are third in the table with 57 points after playing 31 matches.

With only three matches remaining for both Sofapaka and Bandari, Batoto ba Mungu seems to have a hard time regain their second position, a place they had maintained for a long time.

It will be difficult to take Bandari away from their position owing to the fact that they have had a recent better form as compared to Sofapaka.

In their last five matches, Bandari have gone unbeaten with only drawing one match and winning the remaining four.

Sofapaka, on their side, have won only twice, drawn twice and lost once in their last five matches.

With that, it is regrettable to conclude that Sofapaka have simply blown their chance of finishing in the second position.
