Image result for bible court kenyaWonders shall never cease to happen in Kenya or what do you say when two people are accused of presenting a fake cheque of Ksh.920,000 to a Nairobi-based Bible translating organization as payment for the 800 pieces of the Holy book?

Kenyans have been hit hard by a scandal that has erupted concerning fake gold in which it is alleged that the royal family in Dubai was swindled off millions of dollars by people pretending they were in a position to deliver the precious cargo.Image result for bible court kenya

The three, Reuben Rogoi, John Mapesa and Josphat Gatheru were charged that on May 16 at Bible translation and literacy in Upper Hill, Nairobi and with intent to defraud, obtained from Faith Mawia Mulunnga 300 pieces of New King James bibles, 200 copies of Good News Bible and 300 copies of New International version bibles all valued at Sh920,000.

It was alleged that on the same date and place, had in their possession a motor vehicle registration number KCH 596 A, a Toyota Fielder, red in colour for use in the course of the theft of the bibles.

The three who are taxi drivers were arraigned at a Milimani court and charged with obtaining assorted bibles.

Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi released the three on a Sh500,000 bond with an alternative of Sh200,000 cash bail.
The hearing was set for July 1.
