Akothee is one woman who inspires women all over Kenya with her stories of determination and perseverance. It doesn’t hurt that she peppers this with her dramatic anecdotes about her life.
The mother of five wrote an emotional message on her Instagram page, warning mothers to always be with their kids as they can’t trust other women to take care of their flesh and blood.
The reason for her outburst was an image she had seen on a Tanzanian blog that showed a girl who had reportedly been physically abused by her stepmom.
This prompted the singer to come out with a few words of caution for mothers.

Mothers, what would make you leave your child to your husband while you are alive? Why don’t you leave with your child also, the same way you run for your life, why don’t you save your child too?
