Machakos County Governor Dr Alfred Mutua on Saturday rolled out the red carpet and mounted a full guard of honor for his visiting counterparts Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni).
The reception for the two governors was fashioned like those stages for visiting head of states as the two even inspected the guard of honor.
The brief ceremony was broadcasted live on governor Mutua’s Facebook page.
Ngilu and Kibwana were visiting the Machakos governor for their first cabinet meeting of the South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc (SEKEB).
“Receiving @mamangilu and @governorkibwana for the first joint Machakos, Kitui and Makueni cabinets and SEKEB Agreement and approval meeting,” Governor Mutua tweeted.
