Tanzanian Bongo Flava musician Khalid Mohamed alias TID has come out to reveal his struggle with drug addiction which affected his career.
Speaking in an interview on the trend show on NTV hosted by Amina Mohammed, TID said that he joined the music industry while still a young boy at 17.
At this age, he said he met with different producers who introduced him to drugs like cocaine and this affected his purpose in the music industry as a young person.
As a young upcoming artiste, I met different producers who wanted to coach me but some ended misleading me.
Through the addiction, I ended up losing great opportunities that would have bettered my career but i had lost focus and direction.
Asked on how he handled criticism and cyberbullying, the artiste said that, people’s opinion don’t change who he is.
He said;
People will always have different opinions and you can’t stop them. People think celebrities are not humanS and expect too much from them that we cannot live a normal.
The siamini hitmaker revealed that he will be releasing an album soon with great hit songs.
