A Kisumu man arrested Thursday at a Kericho roadblock has disclosed the reasons why he killed Murang’as cutest Prison constable.
The 24-year-old warder is said to have been killed after a FaceBook fling went into an intimate affair.
Pauline Ngoi is reported to have invited one Joseph Ochieng, a self-proclaimed artiste from Kisumu to her rented house in Kiharu in Murang’a.
CCTV footages also attested to the arrival of Joseph at exactly 9 pm Tuesday, even though he was seen leaving the house at 3 am carrying the deceased’s valuables.
Ochieng told sleuths who nabbed him trying to escape to Kisumu that the two of them had been smoking bhang for the better part of Monday evening.
He added that trouble began when Pauline refused to smoke the bhang Tuesday night, from where a scuffle ensued.
He ended up strangling Pauline who fell down with a thud and passed out.
Ochieng is said to have reached for a kitchen knife which she used to stab Pauline multiple times on the head, neck and abdomen.
Ochieng has since been held for 14 days after investigators pleaded with the court to gather more evidence.
