Radio Presenter and Actress Shix Kapienga has opened up on dealing with social media hate and bullying.
The Hot 96 Presenter counts as a celebrity who has severally been on the receiving end for several reasons.
Kapienga was once accused of wrecking MC Jessy’s home after dating rumours about them became the talk in town.
MC Jessy however cleared the air saying that he separated with his wife in 2012 to ‘try to figure things out’.
This might not be the only time that the radio presenter found herself on the wrong side with the online haters.
On how she deals with all the bullying, Shix Kapienga says that she used to reply to cyber bullies then she realized that in doing so, she was actually giving them a platform to further their agenda.
“Now, I will just delete your comment and block you” she stated”
Kapienga also believes that women are more prone to cyber bullying since they have a tendency of attacking each other.
“I feel women are more prone to cyber bullying. I feel this happens because ‘women are their worst enemies’ A woman will be tearing another woman down because of her looks, dress code or career yet they do not know each other” she mentioned
Apart from being public figures, Shix Kapienga says that people should realize that celebrities are human being and they have feelings too.
“Cyberbullying hurts. We are all humans so it is really bad when people judge you for what you are not” she said
