Steve Mbogo’s name dragged into the fake gold scandal

Blogger Robert Alai has once again exposed former Starehe Constituency aspirant Steve Mbogo at the wake of the ongoing investigations of  Fake Gold scandal.

According to Alai Mbogo happen to have been in the scam long ago even before the expose. Taking to his twitter he claimed that someone wrote to him explaining how Mbogo conned him and his family $1.67 Million in exchange of Gold from Africa.

“3 years back, this man wrote to me how Steve Mbogo conned him $1.62 million through the fake gold deals. Now we are arresting the cons because they targeted one Head of State. Even gold from Mali go through Nairobi because all cons are in Nairobi.”

According to the victim who cried out to Alai said that the “flamboyant businessman” lie to his family conned them money and did not get any gold as promised.

“My Father and his partners came to pick up some Gold in Africa and they got scammed for 1.67Million USD. We didn’t even get a penny back, Now all of us are in trouble and are facing huge financial crisis.”

Alai revelation is coming at a time when the Director of Criminal Investigations has been working and investigating the Fake Gold scam a crackdown that was directed by President Kenya.

Since the beginning of the crackdown, a number of suspects have been taken for interrogation including Zaheer Jhanda who has apparently been linked with prominent government officials including CS Fred Matiang’ i, pictured with both President Uhuru and DP Ruto among others
