State prohibits dismemberment abortions–Tearing unborn babies limbs apart

A state in the US has approved the ban of dismemberment abortions that tears nearly fully formed unborn babies limb from limb while their hearts are still beating.

The Michigan state Senate on Tuesday approved prohibition of the inhuman act that should never be carried on any living foetus.

Dismemberment abortion, otherwise known as dilation and evacuation (D&E), is a procedure in which the abortionist dilates the woman’s cervix and then uses steel instruments to dismember and extract the baby from the uterus.

This involves tearing the arms and legs off of the unborn human beings.

The dismemberment abortion procedure is the most frequently-used late-term abortion procedure.

In 2017, there were 1,777 dismemberment abortions in Michigan reported to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Of those, 98 per cent occurred in the second trimester, between 13 and 24 weeks of pregnancy.

The dismemberment ban bills include an exception if the mother’s life is in danger.

Currently, 11 states ban dismemberment abortions: Ohio, Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky and North Dakota.
