Some of us grew up knowing pregnancy was one of the scariest moments a woman could go through…. that and losing your virginity. We weren’t even allowed to think let alone speak about it.
Being seen with a person of the male species made it even worse because apparently that’s the beginning of the end of your life.
I’m sure you have heard some of the wildest things about pregnancies that you believe to be true because your crazy aunt who smells like wheat grass and has a hump told you so. Well here are four pregnancy myths debunked!
1. Morning sickness is a must
This is absolutely not true! Although a majority of women are known to suffer from this pesky disgusting symptom, you might be one of the lucky ones and sail through your first trimester with none at all
2. Morning sickness only occurs in the morning
While you might be one of the lucky few who escapes morning sickness, some women are known to suffer from mild to severe throughout the day. Yup, that’s right, your baby has turned you into a ticking puke machine.
3. Strange cravings
Total honesty, I think we get a little too much pleasure from using this as an excuse to just pig out. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. But you know what? You’re carrying a whole other human INSIDE of you. Very much deserved! When you say you are eating for two, be careful what you consume so that it doesn’t harm your baby.
4. Food restrictions
Damn. For a period where you are meant to get away with eating what you want, there sure are a lot of restrictions. The thing is, we’re not telling you to drink when you’re pregnant, if you pop up some 80-year-old looking baby, that’s on you, but you can pretty much eat anything with moderation.
Each pregnancy has its own weirdness, so don’t be surprised if all these things apply to you and none of these things applies to you. Tell us what weird things happened to you when you were pregnant.
