24-year-old ‘Miss Muranga’ found murdered in cold blood

A 24-year-old female correctional officer based in Muranga who was reported missing has been found murdered with several stab wounds in her Head, chest and stomach.

The young woman, famous among her friends for her love to go out partying was described by her friends as a “beauty queen.”

Murang’a County Police Commander Josphat Kinyua Wednesday said the woman could have been killed on Monday night since the body of the deceased had started decomposing, in her rental house in Kiharu estate on Wednesday morning.

Police who have opened investigations alleged it could be a case of love gone sour.

“We have started investigations to establish the cause of the death of the prison warder although, by the look of things, it appears that it could be love gone sour,” he said.Image result for Murang’a GK Prison

He said that they were in the process of notifying the family of the warder and could, therefore, not disclose her name.

The warder was described by her colleagues as a beauty queen who loved going out whenever she was not on duty.

“She was very beautiful, likeable and very social; she liked partying and had lots of male friends whom she went out within local clubs. She had served as a warder for three years and had celebrated her 24th birthday on April 20,” a friend who sought anonymity told the Nation.

A post-mortem examination conducted on the body of Ms Caroline Chepchirchir Chesire revealed that she was strangled and suffocated to death by her assailants.

According to the report given to her family, Ms Chepchirchir had bruises on the neck and arms.

But her family believes that her death was well-orchestrated by some individuals keen to eliminate her for reasons not known to them.
