How Khalwale’s Tangatanga virus is spreading too fast in Turkana

Over a long period of time, former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has been in opposition where he used to castigate deputy president Dr William Ruto. During the 2017 Raila Odinga-led NASA campaigns, Khalwale could not end his day without castigating Ruto.

But they do say things fall apart, and indeed, they seem to have fallen! Khalwale suddenly changed tune after the famous handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila, and started dancing to DP Ruto’s tune.

Is it because of Ruto’s handouts? Well, he has been accused by several leaders from western Kenya of taking his greed, hunger and self interests to Ruto. He has however assured the DP of full support ahead of his 2022 journey as they continue spreading the tanga tanga gospel.

But is Khalwale the only leader who has been infected by this tanga tanga virus? Well, the virus seem to be spreading so fast in Turkana County. The once pro-Raila governor Josphat Nanko is now dancing to tanga tanga tune.

Is he worried of his political future after 2022? Well, over the weekend, governor Nanok hosted Ruto for a two-day interdenominational service in kakuma where he publicly divorced Raila for Ruto.

He declared his full support to the hustler nation, citing that all the 14 governors in Rift Valley had agreed to walk the same route.

Are these last term governors worried of their future after 2022? Are they rallying behind Ruto to remain relevant? Anyway, what are your thoughts on this political stands leaders are now taking with the influence of DP Ruto?
