Should Tottenham lose to Liverpool, then they could conceivably end up in Pot 3, where they would face a much harder task against better opposition.
So to be in Pot 2, Mauricio Pochettino, Harry Kane and co. would need two of the following four events to occur.
1. Arsenal lose the Europa League final to Chelsea
2. Sevilla fail to qualify for the Champions League
3. Porto fail to qualify for the Champions League
4. Roma fail to qualify for the Champions League
However, if Tottenham were to beat Liverpool in the Madrid showpiece, then Arsenal‘s result would become irrelevant.
