Suspects connected with the on going Kenya Revenue Authority corruption and tax evasion syndicate on Monday morning appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) for interrogation.
Amid probe into the matter, controversial blogger Robert Alai requested the DCI to let him provide with them crucial information on one of KRA staffs.
Hey @DCI, I have details of properties of a senior KRA manager you can investigate. The wealth he has is just out of the ordinary. Come to me if you are interested. @EACCKenya

In response to his request, the DCI urged the blogger to visit them at their headquarters along Kiambu Road or write to them via an email which they shared with him.
They assured him to treat the information with the sensitivity and confidenteliality it requires, thanking him for agreeing to volunteer information.

When KRA stormed their Times Towers and Sameer Business Park offices with police on Friday where they interdicted 75 of their staff on claims of tax evasion and corruption, Alai was among the people who criticized the tax collector for wrongly interdicting its staff.
Over the weekend, Alai went on to allege that the interdiction by KRA was aimed at ethnicity cleansing. He went on to reiterate his claims on Monday morning, arguing that the DCI is just doing ethnic cleansing at KRA.
Someone at DCI want to tel you that no single senior official of KRA from manager upwards is involved in corruption? And you really believe that? DCI is just doing ethnic cleansing at KRA. These junior KRA staff are wrongly accused. pic.twitter.com/4YWzzwJmii
