Pitson, Mercy Masika support Affordable housing program in new song

Gospel artists Pitson and Mercy Masika have released a new song aimed at informing the public on the importance of government initiatives.

The government under the ministry of Transport, infrastructure, and public works has been trying to introduce housing levy.

The controversial housing levy has it that Kenyan workers should contribute 1.5 percent of their basic salary for the aim of raising funds for the construction of the houses.

Why choose the two artists to spearhead the initiative?

Pitson and Mercy Masika have been vocal in the Gospel industry and their firm Christianity and has always remained trusted by the fans.

The two makes a perfect match for government to push their agenda to the adamant Christians.

This follows the recent blow the Huduma Namba faced under the Christian leaders who termed the process as Satanic as mentioned in the Bible, the mark of the Beast (666).

The song is called ‘Tujenge’ which means let us build.

They are urging Kenyans to build houses and other social amenities that help society.

Through a statement from the ministry of transport, Infrastructure, Public works, housing, and urban development, they revealed that they partnered with permanent presidential music commission.

Tujenge is the official song for the Affordable Housing Program.
The song was performed for the first time by Pitson and Mercy Masika during the breaking ground ceremony of one of the flagship projects – Lot 1A, on Thursday 9th May 2019 at Park Road which has a total of 1640 units.

Tujenge was written by Pitson, Mr. Vee and Chris Adwar, sang and Performed by Pitson and Mercy Masika.

Jacky B and Chris Adwar produced while Tamu Sana Visuals and Trey Juelz directed the video.

The project was Commissioned By The State Department For Housing And Urban Development

However, the government said that when houses are built, people win be awarded through a lottery which is a bit ridiculous.
