Police are trying to piece up evidence that leads to what may have led to the death of a class six pupil after his parents found the boy’s lifeless body hanging from the roof.
Police found George Waweru’s body hanging from the roof of his parents’ bedroom, noting that he committed the crime when his siblings were away.
Area Chief Mr Joseph Karanja said the boy’s father was shocked to find the body of the Class Six pupil from Oldonyo Mara Primary School dangling in his bedroom.
“The deceased father, Mr Njeru Ngirishon was from work when he found the body of his son hanging on a rope,’’ said Mr Karanja.
The administrator said no suicidal note was found in the house, adding that the boy had not reported to school at the beginning of this term.
Mr Ngirishon admitted that his son went to school on and off.
A resident said cases of suicides have been on the rise in the area.
The body of the deceased was taken to Nakuru Level Five mortuary.
