There was a time that s3x was the in thing. If you were not having it then you were out of place. It was so seriously taken that virgins had no place in any youth social activities.

Today, things have changed and it seems like there other things that are more interesting than s3x. Things like Netflix and Social Media are now takin over the social scene.

According to a British study, young people are finding more pleasure in Social Media and watching movies compared to 10 years ago where s3x was the main agenda.

Facebook, TV streaming services and smartphones are all “likely distractions that may prevent intimacy” between partners, say researchers who studied the country’s sex habits.

This is not a reflection of Britain alone but the current situation in the youth of the whole world. Social Media is also linked to many marriages falling apart(especially young couples) because they want to fulfil digital media responsibility before their wife/husband duties.

The study found that young people want to have more sex but fewer than half get to it at least once a week – and rates are steadily declining.

More than 29 per cent of young Britons haven’t had sex in the past month, and researchers believe it’s because they are too busy with modern life and digital distractions.

Those who are having less sex than in the past include people over the age of 25, and those who are married or living with a partner.

Netflix disputed some of the study’s claims, with a spokesperson saying: “We take pride in being part of the cultural zeitgeist, but getting credit for a decades long decline in sex is beyond even our programming abilities.”

Experts say a lack of physical intimacy may impact on overall health, with the NHS recommending married youth have sex at least once a week to help “fend off illness”.

Men and women in better physical and mental health had sex more frequently, as did those who were fully employed and those with higher earnings.
