(We haven’t received any CDF allocation for the FY 2018/19 due to my predecessor’s omission, however, we have made great steps.)

The school in Kilifi county is in a dilapidated state with pupils sitting on stones in flooded classrooms during this rainy season.

Notably, the mud-walled classroom with its protruding rafters feebly holding the earth together had no chairs.

Forcing the pupils– mostly barefoot or with sandals– with the option of sitting on their usual bricks as they watched helplessly.

Further inquiries and verification of the photo revealed the school is also a polling station and very little has been done to improve its sorry state.
