Lost but Found! Kenya Red Cross reunites missing family members

Kenya Red Cross, KRC has joined the world in celebrating World Red Cross Day marked globally every year on 8th May.

191 national societies around the world celebrates the auspicious day.

The charity organization has announced its milestone in reuniting separated family members due to conflicts, disasters or migration.

Posting on its official Twitter handle, KRC revealed that the tracing programme successfully reunited Kenya’s woman with her son who has been out of the radar for two years.

“Nancy hears her son’s voice for the first time in two years – her happiest day, thanks to the Red Cross tracing programme. Everywhere for everyone,” posted KRC.

Families terribly suffer when they lose contact with their loved ones and don’t know where they are or whether they are alive and safe.

The KRC works around the world to locate people and put them back into contact with their relatives.

This work includes looking for family members, restoring contact, reuniting families and seeking to clarify the fate of those who remain missing.

Last year, Fardousa was reunited to her mother in Somalia after losing contacts for 16 years.

Are you looking for that long time lost friend or relative?

Good work Kenya Red Cross, Happy world Red Cross Day!
