A jilted woman in Nyeri Tuesday left residents of Makutano with unbelief after she slashed off her husband’s alleged sidekick.
The woman is said to have traveled from Githongo area in Meru on a bodaboda while concealing a machete.
She is said to have been tipped off on the whereabouts of her husband by a person who had spotted the man near Meru Teachers Training College.
The irate woman went straight ahead to the brothel where the two were canoodling and thrust the mattress up in the air.
Sensing danger, the man would later scramble for the exit leaving his 20-year-old at the mercy of the jilted wife.
The irate woman slashed his husband’s lover on the shoulder using the sharp machete, leaving her arm dangling in the air.
She later fled with the lover’s clothes and phone, vowing to use them as an exhibit.
A truck driver was to later save the assaulted lady after she found her naked and bleeding profusely.
The driver, Stephen Kimathi, also said he stopped the irate woman from further pursuing the victim.
“I found the woman (mistress) naked, bleeding profusely and was hiding as the rival pursued her. The woman looks around 20 years, she is very young,” he noted.
She was to be quickly bundled onto an oncoming ambulance coming from Maua town.
Residents chided the woman, claiming that she should have dealt with her husband, and not the hapless young lover suspected to be a student at a Meru school.
However, the jilted woman claimed that she was angry because her husband had abandoned her for a long time.
