Bold one! What does royal baby’s name mean?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have named their first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Archie is the shortened version of Archibald, meaning “bold” or “brave”, while Harrison is of Aboriginal origin which means “son of Henry” or “son of Harry”.

Bookies had Archie at around 100/1, with Harrison not making the lists at all.

Archie has become popularised recently in the UK according to the experts at Nameberry, who say the name is now in the top 20.

They also believe that Harrison has been popularised by actor Harrison Ford

The royal couple introduced their son to the media for the first time before taking him to meet the Queen and Prince Philip.
