Bandari FC snatch an important win against Vihiga United

Vihiga United hosted Bandari FC at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega County, in a must-win match in order to avoid relegation.

The visitors had already lost hope in the title race and turned their focus on one game at a time.

It was 0-0 at half time with both teams missing several chances of getting an opener.

Bandari were missing the services of their key striker Alex Orotomal who is in Egypt for trials ahead of a potential move.

Vihiga United are now occupying the play-offs spot with 24 points from 28 games.

A Free kick was awarded to the visitors and William Wadri nice curly shot with pace and power resulting in a goal broke the deadlock.

Vihiga were up in arms, delivering long ball in the box in search of parity. But the wall that is Brian Otieno was amazing.

There was five minutes of added time also raining cats and dogs here, the players could barely see the ball! and Bandari took advantage and scored the second goal in the 95th minute courtesy of Faruk Shikhalo.

With the win, Bandari will remain at the third position with 55 points and Vihiga, the loss with only 24 points in the third last position, puts them at more risk of being relegation and also missing the chance of playing in the playoffs.
