In a row of complaints owing to nurses and doctors’ negligence, a Tana River nurse was caught red handed, being drunk while on duty.
The medic, from Garsen Health center was caught on camera, in a video that has gone viral on social media.
He in the video is seen lying down on the hospital floor grogged up, as he was being asked to get out of the hospital.
Authorities are said to have gotten a hold of the matter and suspended him.
This comes as nurses in various hospitals in the country have been on the spot following cases of loss of lives due to health staff negligence.
On Sunday, Shalom Hospital in Machakos County was on the spot after a nurse administered a lethal injection to a seven-month-old baby, leading to the baby’s death.
After investigations, it was then realised that the nurse was in the first place not qualified to practice.
With the rise of such cases, who would we say is to blame, given that hospital have recently been poised as money laundering facilities with little to no regard for patients?
