As we draw closer to kickoff, it seems that bad blood is boiling between Liverpool fans after what Barcelona did a few minutes after arriving at Anfield yesterday.
Indeed, fans were infuriated to see Barcelona duo Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho taking a photo front of the Reds’ badge at Anfield on Monday night.
Suarez and Coutinho will return to Merseyside on club duty for the first time tonight, five and one-and-a-half years on from moves to Barcelona respectively.
Both South Americans will be eager to make their mark in what’s a hotly-anticipated showdown in the semi-finals of this season’s Champions League.
Barcelona are in a strong position going into the second leg of the tie after goals from Suarez and Lionel Messi gave them a 3-0 advantage last week.
Ernesto Valverde’s men were in good spirits last night as they trained on the Anfield pitch to prepare them for this evening’s clash.
Suarez and Coutinho took a moment to pose in front of the badge of their former club which adorns one of the walls in the main stand.
It’s safe to say Liverpool supporters were not best pleased by the sight of the duo as they smiled and held their thumbs up in the picture.
“Error: Too much loyality in this photo…” said one sarcastic fan on Twitter.
Two supporters then branded Suarez and Coutinho as “Snakes” and “Rats”.
