Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Reveals ANGER In End-Of-Season Rant As Real Madrid Plot Raid

Chelsea have endured a topsy-turvy season under Maurizio Sarri but secured Champions League football last weekend.

The Blues are also currently on course to reach the final of the Europa League having drawn 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their semi-final last Thursday.

Eden Hazard has played a key role in Chelsea’s sealing of Champions League football, scoring 19 goals and picking up 13 goals.

Plenty would think that after finding the back of the net so often Hazard would be happy with his haul this season.

However, the Belgium international is far pleased with how things have gone this season.

“For me, the best season is when I’m first in the table,” he told Chelsea’s official programme ahead of the Blues’ 3-0 win over Watford last Sunday.

“I don’t care about statistics, you’ve known me for seven years. I’m not focused on that, I’m like this.

“To be fair, it’s not my best season anyway, because it was a bit like the team’s.

“We started well, and I started well, then we had some ups and downs and it was the same for me as well.

“I think we missed a bit of consistency this season. That’s the only point. When the manager is talking, he is talking about this: consistency.

“If we had two, three, four games with this high level of consistency, we could now be second, or something.

“But we need to work step-by-step for the future.

“Our target is now to finish in the top four and win the Europa League because at the end, we want to win a trophy.”

Hazard’s future at Chelsea is currently up in the air and it’s understood he wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Real Madrid is the winger’s preferred destination and it’s been claimed the 28-year-old could force through a move to the Bernabeu by handing a transfer request.

Hazard and his Chelsea team-mates will be back in action on Thursday night when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie.
