A group of MPs allied to the Deputy President have harshly criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta over his recent state appointments saying it was apparent the head of state does not want anything to do with Ruto.
The legislators say President Uhuru has made it public through his actions, that he has abandoned William Ruto for Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Sunday at Nangili Girls School in Likuyani during a fundraising for churches in the area, the leaders warned head of state of a fierce war and punishment for betraying Ruto, saying he only appointed those who support the handshake and bash Ruto in to head state parastatals and be part of various national boards.
“It’s those who support the handshake or those who attack Ruto that got the jobs,” Sirisia MP John Waluke said. They criticized these appointments pointing that the president is the head of the country and all Kenyans should feel part of the government through well-distributed appointments.
Leaders present were during the fundraiser were Waluke, MPs Caleb Kositany (Soy), Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga (Bumula), Geoffrey Omusee (Teso South), Charles Gimose (Hamisi) and Malulu Injendi (Malava).Enock Kibunguchi (Likuyani), former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale and DP Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet
The MPs warned against any attempts to betray William Ruto, saying the DP had stood for a long time with Uhuru and did not deserve betrayal from the president.
