Muslims advice Christians on Ruto’s ‘dirty cash’ as they pocket Sh61m jackpot

DR william Ruto has, on various occasions over the past few months, felt constrained to defend his church contributions, emphasising his Christian faith, and once making a comment that could be interpreted as suggesting he was paying cash for a place in heaven.

The DP told off his political critics including ODM leader Raila Odinga opposed to his church donations and claiming his contributions are ‘dirty money.’

Speaking in Wajir where he attended a harambee for the construction of a Madrassa, Ruto said that they should instead focus on their parties which they need to bring to order.

Ruto said his faith comes first before ‘politician’ titles.

“Since Sunday school we learned to kneel before and worship GOD that’s the ONLY reason we stand before men,” he said.

“We will continue to worship Jehovah with our hearts and substance.”

“I want to advise these people that they should leave Ruto alone. They should go and look for ideas and programs they can sell to Kenyans so that everyone can listen then compare with what the Jubilee Party is offering,” he stated.

He cautioned that he would continue supporting churches as his faith allowed him and stated that he will not relent in the face of any accusations.

“if they continue with this issue of Ruto, what befell then in 2017 will occur again twice over.

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale reiterated his sentiments saying that faith comes before any political titles.

“I am very surprised with many who call themselves Christians who say that we should not build churches and even donate money to build Mosques or even Madrassas. God tells us to build his home be it churches, Mosques or even Madrassas,” he stated.

The Deputy President also conducted a funds drive for Wakf for Madarassa in Tarbaj constituency.

According to Duale, the funds drive raised over Sh61 Million.

“DP DR @williamsRuto conducted a funds drive for Wakf for Madarassa, Tarbaj constituency. We raised over 61M,” Duale tweeted.

In his tweet, the leader of Majority in the National Assembly added, “A person who follows a path of acquiring knowledge, Allah will make easy the passage to Paradise for him.”
