DPP office found Hopekid & DK scandal probe a waste of time

Remember the taunting scandal of artists Hope Kid and DK Kwenye Beat that turned the gospel industry upside down after the reveal that they had cornered a young lady only to sexually violate her and infected her with herpes?

The victim alleged that she was lured from Nakuru into a threesome with the two against her will. Months later,she had a second encounter with DK, which according to her, was without protection.

In a recent interview,the artist disclosed that following the ridicule they headed for a test and neither of the two had herpes.

“None of us had herpes. Even the office of the DPP said the whole thing was a waste of time,” he said.

Grilled on how he met the lass, the artist said she had contacted him for a gig, and one thing led to another.

“The lady had been my friend, and we chatted from time to time. She had reached out wanting to be a model on my songs, but the photos she posted on Instagram were too revealing for my brand. I just told her I would hook her up with any secular artistes if something came up,” Hope Kid stated.

The artist blamed Vlogger Xtian Dela – accused of spearheading the framing for making up the story.

Xtian has had beef with DK for the longest time, and this was his way of getting back,” he said.

The Delilah hit maker revealed that the expose didn’t go far for lack of basic facts.

He noted that the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), which had vowed to fight for the woman, went under after realizing the whole thing was made up.

Hope Kid stated, “When more details of what happened came out, and they realised there was no mileage to be made, FIDA backed off. Even Xtian and Kate Kamau (actress) who had been vocal about the whole thing, went under. They did not even go to Nakuru to give the lady any support.”
