On Friday Hopekid Came out to clear the air on the scandal involving him and DK Kwenye beat. The two were accused of raping and infecting a young lady with herpes.
However, the story vanished as quickly as it surfaced leaving people in suspense. Despite the story going underwaters, it had a huge impact on Hopekid’s life and music career.
Hope kid has come out to explain that the whole story was a scam and they were just but framed. what pains him is the effect that it had in his life and music career.
Through an interview, Hopekid reveals that he has lost millions of money because of that scandal
“In estimation, I have lost about Sh5 million in shows and deals, but it is what it is. “Said Hopekid
“I was dropped by some fast food company when we were in the final stages of shooting a video. I have so many bills to pay, school fees and rent for my immediate family, but I guess people don’t think about that when they go ahead to create scandals for artistes…” he added,
Hope Kid revealed that his songs were banned from some leading stations.
Hope kid explained that one organization stood by him and supported him to gain back his sanity. Being an ambassador for Autism Lights, an organization for supporting and creating awareness on Autism the organization did not drop him
“They did not drop me even as the accusations kept coming left and right and I am deeply glad for that. It would have been a shame to lose such an important cause,” he said, explaining that he had traveled with the organization to Turkana the same time that Akothee was there. said Hope kid
