Arsenal placed one foot in the UEFA Europa league finals after hammering Valencia 3-1 at Emirates winning the first leg semi-final.
The visitors were first to score through Mouctar Diakhaby in the 11th-minute but the Gunners were quick to respond after Alexander Lacazette converted a spectacular pass from Aubameyang into a goal in seven minutes letter.
The hosts then went ahead and took the lead following Lacazette’s second goal.
Arsenal dominated the second half, with Lacazette being denied a hat-trick as he came close but it was his teammate Aubameyang that scored the third goal in the 90th minute.
As of now, winning the Europa league is what the Gunners have left in terms of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season since their chances of finishing top four in the Premier League died after three consecutive league defeats, with only two matches remaining.
Emery’s side away form have not been in any positive results , and Valencia with an away goal, they still have a chance to change the game and knock out Arsenal.
