Gor Mahia out to cement their lead in KPL when they host KCB at Kenyatta Stadium

Gor Mahia will be seeking to cement their position at the top of the Kenya Premier League today when they square it out with the Bankers KCB at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

The Hassan Oktaymen will be looking to put a 9 points difference gap between them and the second-placed Sofapaka while still having a game at hand after the clash which further adds an advantage to them to remain at the top.

The points difference was yesterday reduced by second-placed Sofapaka who beat Posta Rangers who are enjoying medium run this season after recording a draw against Mathare last week.

The green army is being backed by many to win the match today but it will not be an easy one putting into mind that their opponents KCB are in good form this season

KCB is currently on the 12 place in the KPL table. Unlike Gor Mahia who have won four out and drawn once in their last five matches, the bankers have lost their last four matches and drawn once which is a poor run as they prepare to face the league leaders.

A win for KCB would come in handy as it would take them to the eleventh position with 33 points one behind AFC Leopards who were awarded three points after their opponents Nzoia FC failed to honour their match at the Bukhungu Stadium.
