Lugali Member of parliament Ayub Savula might the last person to pump the last nail in Osotsi political casket with a weird revelation.
Savula a close associate to Musalia Mudavadi reveals that the embattled nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi nominated his two mother in law in two assemblies as MCAs.
“Margaret Nyauchu, the mother of his first wife, is an MCA nominee in Nandi county. The Frida Muderi is mother of his second wife, as an MCA in Kakamega county,”Savula was quoted by Star newspaper.
Osotsi is also said to nominate self in the national assembly.
Savula said it was unconstitutional and a conflict of interest for Osotsi to use his position as secretary general to nominate himself as MP.
Yesterday MP Godfrey Osotsi was dealt a blow when the High Court overturned a decision of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal, where he successfully challenged his removal from Amani National Congress (ANC).
Mr Osotsi had lost his Secretary-General post in the party led by politician Musalia Mudavadi.
Musalia had appointed Barrack Muluka as the ANC party secretary general.
Mr Mudavadi later moved to the High Court arguing that Mr Osotsi took the case to court before exhausting the party’s dispute resolution processes.
Through lawyers Dan Ameyo and Alatulala Mukhwana, the party argued that the PPDT lacked jurisdiction to hear the case.
ANC also dismissed claims contained in the judgment of the PPDT that Mr Osotsi was coerced into resigning.
Justice Cecilia Githua ruled that the tribunal had no jurisdiction to hear the matter because Osotsi had not exhausted all internal party mechanisms.
