On Sunday two young innocent men were ambushed and killed at Tot, Marakwet East by bandits from the neighboring constituency. One of the boys was set to join Kenyatta University this year.
Today Elgeyo senator Murkomen Kipchumba has revealed holding a security meeting at Kapkobil with the county security committee.
“It’s clear that the Ministry of Interior and the office of IG need to demonstrate willingness and commitment to resolve the deteriorating security situation in Kerio Valley,” Murkomen has said.
The CS Interior promised action last within the next 48 hours. According to the senator, the people of Kerio Valley are tired and demand action from our security personnel.
Murkomen has declared that as leaders from the region they will hold the responsible state officers into account.
