Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichgungw’a has again promised Deputy President William Ruto of Mt Kenya’s support ahead of 2022 General Election.
According to MP Ichungw’a, some politcians have gone ahead to form political parties based on ethnic groups.
“Some politicians are planning to form new ethnic based political parties. we want to assure you and President Kenyatta we will stand with you in Jubilee.”
He further went ahead quoting the bible saying that as Jubilee leaders they will keep the covenant as instructed in the bible.
Ichungw’as statement came a day after Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Murang’a governor Mwangi Wa Iria formed two political parties that are meant to take control of Mt Kenya politics.
This came following Mt Kenya political kingpin Uhuru Kenyatta’s is expected to retire come 2022.
However Leaders from Mt Kenya region came out rejecting the a political party claiming that was hoping to sell the party to and canvas for votes.
