After their 2-1 loss to AFC Leopards over the weekend, Bandari coach Bernard Mwalala has laid blame on his attack for failing to utilize their chances.
The Mombasa based side went ahead and could have added a few more but their inability to convert chances into goals allowed Leopards to condemn their to their second successive defeat in a week.
“I can’t complain because the same things that happened against Gor Mahia happened today. We are creating more chances but we are not scoring. We made two mistakes and AFC Leopards punished us. At the end of the day, it is all about goals and I didn’t get the required goals.
“I can’t complain about the result, it is work in progress and I have no option but to go back and work on our finishing,” Mwalala said in his post-match comments.
Speaking on the tactics of the game, the coach believes he had got it right when he reverted to a back three in his bid to get goals but his strikers failed to replicate his tactics in the game.
The tactician further spoke on his in game tactics that had Leopards pegged back later on in the match.
“I made a change after we were down preferring a back three because I needed goals. Our big striker had an opportunity to kill the game but he failed and we have to go back on rectify the mistakes,” Mwalala added.
