Why Miguna believes what ails Kenya begins and ends with Raila Odinga

Truth be said, its been years since Dr. Miguna Miguna wrote “Peeling the Mask”, a book that laid bare the persona of Hon. Raila Odinga, exposing his private moments to public ridicule across the world.

Even after such an embarrassment and years of ridicule, Raila Odinga through a shared political interest allowed Miguna back to his corner. Trusting enough to honor him with the risk of swearing him in as the people’s president. Both men should be lauded for such courageous acts, there was no any ounce of cowardice that would have allowed them to pull that.

However, immediately after the swearing in, things did not go well especially for our comrade Dr. Miguna Miguna. His rather bizarre encounter with the Kenyan police and his subsequent deportation to Canada while maintaining dual citizenship, as a Kenyan and Canadian is well documented.

Kenyans who believe in justice will never forgive those who made Dr. Miguna undergo such suffering and humiliation in his country of birth. It was barbaric and ridiculous to say the least. No Kenyan should ever be subjected to such suffering and torture under the new constitution, period.

While we can understand how such an encounter can leave a man bitter. It appears as if Dr. Miguna believes that what ails Kenya begins and ends with Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga. His constant social media attacks of Hon. Raila Odinga have now been reduced to personal attacks rather than ideological objections after the former prime Minister joined President Kenyatta for what is now known as the “Handshake”.

If indeed Hon. Odinga’s Handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta was inconsequential, then there wasn’t any need for Miguna to constantly find it pleasurable to make fun of Hon. Odinga’s every day engagement.

For Dr. Miguna and others, they believe that Raila’s star is dimming. This they observe is because Raila dumped Kenyans at their time of need dancing to Jubilee’s tune just because of greed and power.

Miguna will never forgive Raila. His usual attacks on him together with president Uhuru Kenyatta is not going to end soon. Miguna believes that Kenyans should rise, revolt and overturn the two ‘corrupt despots’ in order to liberate themselves.

Here are some of his bitter tweets directed at Raila and Uhuru;
