Why Gideon Moi’s Chair has raised a storm

Did Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, sit on his father’s chair during the burial ceremony of his brother Jonathan?

Most Kenyans noticed this and interpreted it as Gideon behaving like a prince who had inherited his father’s kingdom (Presidency). Otherwise, what else explains this show of might?

Gideon has come under heavy criticism for trying to mint political mileage from his brother’s demise and also using it as an opportunity to undermine Deputy President William Ruto.

On Saturday, Gideon refused to stand up when greeting Ruto, but did the opposite with CJ Maraga and Kalonzo Musyoka.

The Baringo Senator has also been criticized for taking politicians to his father’s home in Kabarak, instead of taking them to Kabimoi to condole with Jonathan’s widow and children.

It seems not very many people are impressed with Gideon’s actions.
