Nairobi Women Representative has revealed that she will be attending the 2019 Harm Reduction Conference in Porto City, Portugal.
The biannual fete aims at ensuring countries implement a joint action plan to help drugs addicts.
The legislature stated that Kenya has made great strides in establishing clinics for drug users which applies Medically Assisted Therapy.
“Kenya has made great strides in implementing Medically Assisted Therapy (MAT) clinics for drug users but more needs to be done to fully exploit benefits of harm reduction.”

Hon Passaris is bound to get rich information about the benefits and lessons learned from Europe’s progressive approach to drug policy and harm reduction.
This will be of great importance to Kenya.
Harm reduction helps reduce HIV and overdose rates and increases access to vital health and social services.
Most countries highlight the need to include people who use drugs in policy making and other decisions about their health and rights.
The 26th Harm Reduction International Conference will be held in Porto, Portugal from 28 April to 1 May 2019.
