Joho in trouble for flying in Uhuru’s Chopper

During Elections periods, we see politicians fly in expensive Choppers, don’t we? Do they own these Choppers? Or where do they hire them from?

Deputy President Dr William Ruto is the politicians who has occasionally used Choppers in his Tanga Tanga missions.

However, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is not exceptional. In 2016, Joho is said to have regularly flown in Choppers.

However, this might have just placed him in trouble. The Mombasa County boss and Kirinyaga Woman Representative Purity Ngirici, according city lawyer Donald Kipkorir, owe FlexAir, a firm linked to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family Sh2.5 million and Sh3.9 million respectively.

Joho is said to have hired a FlexiAir helicopter on numerous occasions between October 7 and 17, 2016, at the cost of Sh4.4 million out of which sum Sh2.5 million remains unpaid.

Ngirici’s debt is understood to have been incurred between May 8 and August 17, 2016 when she leased a FlexiAir helicopter for use on numerous occasions, at a cost of Sh5.9 million.

The outspoken lawmaker did not follow up on a commitment to settle an outstanding sum of Sh3.9 million.

“Note that if the said sums are not paid as demanded aforesaid, we have instructions to file at your risk as to incurred costs and incidentals thereto,” Kipkorir warned on Thursday in a debt recovery letter addressed to Ngirici.
