Tension in Kiambu as Waititu evades arrest from detectives through the backdoor

It is alleged that Kiambu Chief Finance Officer (County PS Finance) Faith Njeri Harrison has been arrested by EACC detectives. The Chief Finance Officer is alleged to have been carrying Sh 26million in cash which was to be delivered to a British national who three weeks ago sold Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu a house in Runda near Githogoro.

Detectives are also alleged to have also arrested Mr. Gicharu, Kiambu County Transport Manager with 6.5M in cash. Gicharu is alleged to be Waititu’s first cousin and is believed to be the conduit between Waititu and contractors. Chief of Staff, a prominent MCA and two CeC’s are said to be hiding

The police also arrested vehicle with suspicious number plates.

The Source hints that the governor who was in the office was forced to free using the back door when he was tipped that the detectives are after him.

The arrest follows after EACC sleuths arrested Former Nairobi Governor Evans Odhiambo Kidero over irregular payment of Sh68 million to a law firm.


Kidero’s was arrested alongside Former Chief of Staff George Wainaina and former Councillor Paul Mutunga have also been arrested.
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officials said they had been investigating the three individuals for irregularly paying legal fees to M/s Wachira Mburu, Mwangi and Company Advocates.
