Major #TBT A year ago this week, I made a change in my career. After 5 years at KTN News, it was time to move on to a new challenge. Change is necessary but never easy. But I have always believed that I must never stay comfortable, always hungry for the next challenge, always innovating in my own space. I took a risk and decided to stay away from the political interviews for a while and perform a public service of breaking down issues to my audience. Hence my Explainers on Thursday nights. It's not politics, just breaking down the issues. Many still define a top news anchor as one who does interviews, I refuse to be defined in that box. In a world of ever changing headlines, new developments, new projects, new laws, we all need to slow down, take a deep breathe and understand what it all means. I am grateful for the opportunity to break down these issues to you. Thanks for taking the ride with me. That said, it's Thursday, so join me #Tonight at 9pm. I Have another great Explainer for you! 😉

Sharing the throwback memory, she said; “A year ago this week, I made a change in my career.

It’s not politics, just breaking down the issues. Many still define a top news anchor as one who does interviews, I refuse to be defined in that box.

As she was leaving KTN she shared a message of how God had seen her throughout the five years. She said; “But I want to leave you with this one. This is about the power of five. Five is a very important number. It symbolizes God’s grace. Symbolizes goodness and favor towards human beings.

In case you wondering, it is mentioned 318 times in scripture in the Bible. That’s how important it is; five senses, five fingers, five toes. And on that note, I would like to thank you very much for five years….I will see you when I see you.”
