What happened in Arsenal dressing room after a humilating loss at Wolves

Sokratis Papastathopoulos admitted Arsenal players got angry in the dressing room at the Molineux after their disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Wolves on Wednesday night.

Despite controlling possession, the Gunners conceded three first-half goals that condemned them to their second successive defeat in the Premier League and a huge blow to their top four hopes.

And Sokratis, who scored their only consolation goal in the match, admits the players were angry with themselves and each other at the full-time whistle.

“Of course,” he responded when asked about the mood in the dressing room.

“The players like to play Champions League, they like to win but it is not easy.

“Wolves was a bad moment for us. It was a really bad game from us.

“The first half, we played very bad.

“All the players take responsibility – we are not stupid. We know that we didn’t play good.

“We cannot change it now so we look forward to the next game.

“We have to win all the games and get nine points and we’ll see if we can be in the top four.”
