COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has been allowed access to former Press Daniel Arap Moi, after the demise of his son Jonathan Toroitich.

A picture shared on social media by NTV Journalist Robin Njogu shows Atwoli at Moi’s Kabarak home with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

Atwoli’s visit comes a day after Deputy President William Ruto was chased from Kabarak on Wednesday.

The Moi family had released a statement asking the public to allow them mourn Jonathan in private. They also said that very few people will be allowed access to Mzee Moi.

Ruto was forced to visit Jonathan’s home in Kabimoi, Baringo County.

Only Atwoli and President Kenyatta have been allowed to see Mzee Moi, who from the pictures is sickly.

Atwoli is one of Ruto’s chief critics and has said on more than one occasion that Ruto will not be on the ballot in 2022.

Atwoli also visited Moi in December last year, where he thanked the former President for living the country united.

Things have not been the same for Ruto, who was also denied access to Moi last year.
