Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has said that there will be no debate on mount Kenya region on Ruto’s candidature.
Waititu a close ally to DP and Ruto’s point man in the Mount Kenya region states that Ruto made Uhuru president in 2013 as well in 2017.
He claimed that a section of power brokers are plotting to Kill Ruto’s political career.
The governor on Sunday, April 21 publicly assured Ruto the Mount Kenya region would fully support his presidential ambition.
“We will not have debate on 2022 on Ruto candidature,the DP played a key role in the Uhuru’s win and we must support him,”Waititu said.
According to the Kiambu county boss, the vast Central Kenya region would rally behind Ruto because the DP played a pivotal role in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rise to power.
“Mount Kenya faithfuls are smart people. We don’t want to look like conmen who conned people of Rift Valley. We don’t want to look like children,” he said amid applause from the crowd.
Waititu sentiments come barely after a team led by Maina Kamanda accused Waititu of being paid to sell the DP agenda in the mount Kenya region.
Kamanda said that Waititu support to Ruto is on win win situation.
“Waititu ni mwizi and everyone knows this,he is only supporting Ruto for him not to be arrested,one day we will come for those properties that he has bought with public money,”Kamanda said.
Kamanda is the lead to Kieleweke squad that is against Ruto’s presidency.
The DP has on several occasion cried that he is being targeted on the fight against corruption.
Recently he claimed that dark forces are working against his back.
