Chelsea Have TWO Eden Hazard Replacements In Mind With Star Nearing Real Madrid Transfer

Chelsea star Hazard has been a shining light amid a difficult campaign under Maurizio Sarri but, when the transfer window reopens, is expected to join Real Madrid.

The Belgium international has been strutting his stuff at Stamford Bridge ever since 2012, winning two Premier League titles along the way.

But his time at Chelsea is nearing an end and Express Sport understands Madrid are confident of signing the 28-year-old this summer.

Los Blancos view Hazard as the ideal man to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who sensationally left the Bernabeu for Serie A giants Juventus a year ago.

And Telefoot claim that Chelsea have two potential replacements in mind should their talisman leave.

The first is Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho has endured a mixed campaign over in Catalonia, scoring recently against Manchester United but still failing to live up to his huge £142million price tag.

As a result, he could leave come the summer with Barca supposedly willing to offers.

Chelsea believe Coutinho could be an ideal replacement for Hazard and feel they could get a transfer over the line.

However, if they do not, Telefoot claim that they could opt for Lille’s Nicolas Pepe instead.

Pepe has been backed to move to the Premier League this summer with Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City all linked.

But Chelsea may end up landing the Ivory Coast international instead.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has admitted Hazard would be a big asset for the La Liga giants.

“I [would] choose Eden, of course,” Courtois told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.

“I really like him, but the choice is up to the board.

“I do not know what will happen. That is not a question for me, but for the chairman and the management.

“The team is what it is now. Karim Benzema is in a good shape and scored 17 goals. [Gareth] Bale started well, but then had to deal with injuries.

“You see in the matches that we have quality, only sometimes it is not possible to score.”
