VIDEO: Police Leave Cancelled as Terrorists Destroy Sri Lanka

A string of bomb blasts have hit Sri Lanka and left about 150 people dead.

In the Sunday, 21 bomb attacks that are seen to have targeted mostly Christian Churches and hotels, more than 560 people were injured.

Sri Lanka’s President called for calm even as Security officers on leave were recalled to help in bringing the criminals behind the blasts to book.

Police spokesman said the seventh bomb attack hit a hotel in Southern Dehiwala where some two more people were reported dead.

“Horrible scenes, I saw many body parts strewn all over,” de Silva said after visiting the Kochchikade church and Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo. “We took multiple casualties to hospital. Hopefully saved many lives,” reported a witness.

Sri Lanka’s President Maithripala Sirisena condemned the attacks. “I have given instructions to take very stern action against the persons who are responsible for this conspiracy,” he remarked.

On his part, Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed his concerns on the blasts on Twitter, prevailing upon Sri Lankans to “remain united and strong.”
